My oldest boy had a horrible set of plastic blocks that simply could not be stacked. Don’t get that kind for your child. At his first Christmas, he was a crawler, and grandparents got him a set of nice wooden letter blocks. The first thing he did was take one in each hand, crawl over to the end table and put one on top of the other. “Ah! He knows what THOSE are for!”
It is a lovely example of how difficult it is to know what another is thinking. And Lucy is, uncharacteristically, soft-spoken, calm and seemingly well-intentioned. But you still did it Linus; your first skyscraper!! Well done!!

I take it that Linus isn’t quite ready for a Rubik’s Cube.
