Charlie Brown, wearing a cap and holding a book, approaches Patty, who is sitting on the curb holding her doll. He says,"I'm returning this book to the library"<BR><BR> As she walks along with him, he continues,"I finished it in one day!"<BR><BR> She follows him up the stairs and says,"I didn't know you could even read, Charlie Brown..."<BR><BR> He stops and turns to her, holding out the book. He exclaims,"Do you think I could finish this book in one day if I knew how to read?!"<BR><BR>

Even after looking back at the first of this month, it doesn’t necessarily mean Charlie Brown can read. The strip shows him looking at the sign and saying “hmm…” To me, it looks like Charlie Brown wanted to act smart by going off of what the other kid said the sign read.

On January 23 Charlie Brown wrote his diary. Anyway it’s a comic strip and we should not care too much about logic.
