"Big kids drive me crazy..." Linus grumbles as he crawls down the hall.<BR><BR> He kneels in the doorway and exclaims, "Well, I'll be!"<BR><BR> "I can't believe it!" He sits on his knees in front of a pile of messy toys sitting on the floor.<BR><BR> He sits happily in the midst of the toys. "All these toys and nobody around....No big things to take things away from me just when I'm starting to have fun.."<BR><BR> "I can't stand big kids.." He picks up a toy hammer: "I can't get over it..all these toys and nobody around..."<BR><BR> In profile, Linus sits up and gasps: "Oh, good grief! Here they come!"<BR><BR> He covers his eyes: "BIG KIDS!!"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown, Patty, Lucy, Shermy, and Vioet all race along.<BR><BR> Linus sits along in the now empty room. He sighs.<BR><BR>

Linus had further frustrations with ‘big kids’ in a later strip in which he couldn’t get a chance at a tennis court for himself and Sally Brown. But the unseen big kids in that strip were, of course, not the Peanuts gang.
