    If one throws a buttered bread into the air, it will be pretty random, but if one carries bread on a plate at chest-level or if one accidentally knocks buttered bread of of the edge of a table, the bread only has time for half a revolution before hitting the ground, so this strip is true for real-world conditions of accidental bread-drops.

    The probability of the bread landing with the butter side down is directly proportional to the value of the carpet.
