Linus warns, "Yes, but my opthamologist says it's very dangerous to look at it.."<BR><BR> Charlie Brown explains, "Well, I had planned to use sunglasses." "Don't do it! Don't do it!" Linus lifts his arms.<BR><BR> "Sunglasses, smoked glasses, photograph negatives...even welder's glasses aren't safe for directly viewing an eclipse!" Linus adds.<BR><BR> "How would your Opthamologist feel if I closed my curtains and stayed in bed all day?" Charlie Brown asks.<BR><BR>

I saw the 2017 eclipse in Douglas, Wyoming. Perfect; never a cloud in sight.

when i was about 10 there was a partial eclipse and a neighbor said, “we’re gonna take [stray dog] indoors so she don’t go blind during the Ee-clipse”; inviting the question, would a dog even notice?

There was once an interview with Schulz where he told of how he’d get letters from optometrists asking, “Why don’t you give us optometrists a break?” because he always referred to ophthalmologists but not optometrists.
