Sally and Charlie Brown sit at the table. Sally writes, "T's." Charlie Brown says, "Those are nice looking T's."<BR><BR> Sally holds up the paper and says, "Those aren't T's . . . Those are telephone poles . . . I'm drawing a picture depicting the change of the west."<BR><BR> Sally continues, "I'm going to show how the telephone poles led the great movement of people across the land!"<BR><BR> Sally smiles and says, "I was just kidding you . . . They're really T's!"<BR><BR>

I think they would have been telegraph poles during that time period.

What’s next-is Sally going to practice her penmanship of printed letters, by drawing H’s, and Charlie Brown will come along, and say something like,“I see you’re doing pretty good, with your capital H’s,” and Sally will say,“These aren’t capital H’s—they’re football goal posts, in case I wish to draw a picture of a high-school football game,” then turn around and say,“Just kidding, big brother, yes, they really are capital H’s!” and of course, Charlie Brown would roll his eyes, like he does here, in the closing panel. Schulz did show us some great moments, with the Peanuts characters.
