May 21, 1969…The Snoopy lunar module and the Charlie Brown command module entered lunar orbit. Apollo 10 paved the way for Apollo 11 to land men on the moon in July of that year.
I remember watching the various moon walks and the astronauts using NASA developed equipment to pick up moon rocks. I now believe that the tool they were using was in fact a “pooper scooper”. Ahh, the 60’s, we were so ahead of our time!
So sad to see that Neil Armstrong passed away today at the age of 82 (1930-2012) R.I.P. Neil Armstrong. The past few days it’s the Armstrong’s that had conflicts (Lance Armstrong losing his titles and now the death of the first man on the moon, SIGH these are challenging times and school has not even started yet.
I remember a snoopy strip in which it is contemplating – “I always thought life was a one liner, but it turned out to be a paragraph”. I haven’t seen that one in a long time..

There’s no dogs on the moon,or anything like water and bones, the sun never shines there at noon, all you’ll see is craters and stones.
Sorry Snoopy.

What a coincidence on the timing of this strip, if it truly wasn’t planned.
