Hey, Chuck! There’s no “I” in “team!” Peppermint Patty respects you and wants to give 100% to your team. Being part of the team is something to appreciate regardless of what position you play! Patty has more class in her little finger than Lucy has in her whole body! ☺

The Manager doesn’t usually tell his players where to play – that’s the coaches. So Chuck can be the manager, and Peppermint Patty the coach. :D

I wonder why Charlie Brown thinks that he has to be the pitcher for it to be “his” team?

Since Peppermint Patty’s sandals are backless, I wonder how she keeps them on while she’s pitching?

I can see why Bill Watterson cited Peanuts as one of his influences for Calvin and Hobbes. I see some similarity, the way Charlie Brown talks to Linus about what’s on his mind is kind of like Calvin’s philosophical discussions with Hobbes. Also, the fact that Schulz wrote the forward to The Essential Calvin and Hobbes is great.
