The answer to both question is no, Lucy is not a real doctor (never take her advice Franklin, it will bring you heartache and misery), and yes, the lemonade was good (Lucy can’t make it so that’s why she thought of bilking folks as a fake doctor).
Hard to believe now, and as pathetic as it was at the time, but these Franklin strips were censored in a lot of Southern newspapers way back then. Of course, it wasn’t really WAY back then, was it?
