At least Lucy’s pumpkin didn’t die on the vine. What a joyful strip Peanuts is! I was a young boy when it started, and I loved it from the start. I have all the strips in my library, but I read this daily one anyway. It’s just pure happiness.
Halloween was the greatest, when I was a kid in the ’50’s. It was so much fun. Not the same as Christmas, maybe, but different. Now they are phasing out Halloween in many schools. It used to be a whole community thing….now it’s not.

Surprised Linus doesn’t think it’s the Great Pumpkin.

I love the way Snoopy is curious and climbing on the Jack-O-Lantern. So very true to puppiness.

The pumpkin’s ticklish ears are actually Snoopy’s feet!
