Before I started school, we would sometimes take walks to visit somebody Mom knew. The grownups would chat in the other room, and the 3 of us would play with their daughter in the living room. She was a bit older than me. They had a piano, that I was interested in and their daughter knew how to play. If I pressed one key at a time, all was fine, but as soon as I pressed 2, Mom would call, “Quit banging on the piano!”
“Let’s do an experiment,” said the girl as she sat beside me. She played one key at a time, quite loud. That seemed fine. Then she showed me 3 to press to make a cord, and I pressed them very softly. “QUIT BANGING ON THE PIANO!”
“Ok,” the girl said. Watch this. She opened her piano book and had me plink around a little. Then she started playing the piece from the book. “QUIT BANGING ON THE PIANO!” She continued to play the piece, beautifully, and Mom came storming out to put a stop to my banging on the piano to discover me sitting beside the girl as she played beautifully.

If Schroeder catches Snoopy on his ivory’s, he will freak out! Have we ever seen anyone else touch those hallowed keys?
