What part of “did not get any goals” did you not understand, Lucille?

I feel sorry for Chuck. Nobody on his team has the passion for baseball that he has.

I played Little League in the mid ‘70s. I could have sworn we had a mercy rule of 10 or 12 runs. I guess that did not apply in Chuck’s league in 1974 unless the opponent got to 40 runs in an inning and Chuck’s team could not close the deficit in the following inning (top or bottom regardless)….

Here is a goal for you Lucy…learn the game!

Lucy’s head is too full of her own inflated opinions of herself to learn any new facts. As in how a baseball game is played.

They also didn’t get any baskets. And they didn’t checkmate you. It’s a real head-scratcher how they won.

All you can do is (sigh), CB!

Goals have to do with hockey, football, and soccer.

You know how bad the game was when the final score looks more like a lopsided football score than a baseball one!

Lucy: How could we lose if we didn’t get any goals?

Lucy, you have the attention span of a goldfish.

Their goal was to score 40 runs

And, their coach brings juice boxes, too!

She should have stuck to golf ;-)

In today’s Peanuts Begins comic strip, young Lucy has taken up golf and is quite good at it, until. . .

What about touchdowns? Did we get more touchdowns at least?

Won the soccer match. Lost the baseball game.

Joe Maddon was a good manager, but I hated when he talked about the Rays scoring points!

If you want to win in life, you gotta have goals…

I guess Van Pelt had no goals.

Maybe you shouldn’t have someone playing for you who doesn’t know the game you’re playing, Charlie.

Imagine how basketball must confuse her.
