Nope. Oil has been on the verge of running out for decades. Yet somehow, it never happens. It’s almost as though people wanted it a lot, and other people found a way to find and extract it.
Who could have predicted that?
And even when it does for real run out, there will always be some. It just won’t be practical to find and extract it.
Instead, people will be using the substitutes and alternatives that will have been developed during the final decades or centuries of increasing scarcity.
That, anyone with even a slight knowledge of economics could predict.

Believe it or not, people have found out how to make new food, so supplies are not actually dwindling.
It’s been known for 10 or 20 thousand years, as it happens.
And in the most recent decades, people have become even better at it.
