This is the 1st Pearls I’ve laughed at since the Spring.

I believe that’s called a dance marathon.

I hate when that happens… it makes one fell so silly.

The dance is named for that famous singer Englebert Schlumperdink.

Pig is admitting to hereditary stupidness in his family?! Now what excuse will the Pig-lovers have when it comes time to defend his incomprehension?

It’s not good to pull a schlumperdink crossing an intersection against the traffic light.

Oh my god! There’s a name for it?! Finally!Btw What’s the name for when you’re walking faster than the person in front of you and just as you’re trying to go past them they drift to the side, right into your path, without even knowing it? That always happens to me.

It’s called a “premise for divorce” if you then realize it’s your wife.

I just call it dancing with a stranger.

Awwwwww…. I’m sure RAT would have something to say to that.

Love this one!!! I’ve been involved in a schlumperdink myself a time or two. (not for 4 hours though)

I think it may be the Alphonse & Gaston syndrome.

This happened to me with butterfly once. It and I met face to face, I moved left and it moved right, I moved right and it moved left, repeat and repeat, then finally it flew off over my head. And of course, no one had a cell phone at the ready. My friends said it was the funniest thing they’d seen. Only I could do the sidewalk shuffle with a butterfly.

“Schlumperdink” just sounds so Yiddish, too—in the same family as words like “schlep” and “kvetch”.

Pigs are supposed to be smart, i understand they are smarter than dogs. Luckily for dogs, they aren’t tasty.

We need a word for that

How about polkadodge, the you-first shuffle, or dodgey dancing?
