Hmmm… Stephan seems to be alternating between the goldfish and the girls’ basketball team. Is he going to combine the two arcs by having the goldfish kill the girls?

If the goldfish could get out of the bowl, smack Pig, and get back in the bowl without dying, a little barbed wire is not going to do much to stop him.

Just because there were wet fin prints leading away from the crime scene, everyone suspects the goldfish?!

Rat will try to convince Gomer that the wire is there to protect him from creatures like Garfield! (& please see my comment on THAT cartoon today!)

From today’s Word of the Day (Seems the discussion over winners and losers has been happening thro the ages)…“No battle is ever won. They are not even fought. The field only reveals to man his own folly and despair, and victory is an illusion of philosophers and fools. -William Faulkner, novelist (1897-1962)

    “This seems excessive”

…says the goldfish who bashed Pig over the head with a baseball bat the other day!

No, excessive would be encircling the bowl with cast iron griddles on top of portable picnic gas grills and lighting the fire on each grill so those griddles are nice and hot, perfect for frying a vicious goldfish if it dares jump out of the bowl. It’s small enough now that it might be able to slip unscathed through the barbed wire.

Pig doesn’t seem to get along with aquatic life very well. I remember when his greatest enemy was a sea anemone.
