I feel that, Pig.

i’m almost 50 and still don’t know what my passion could be. I mean, there’s quite a bit of things that I really really enjoy doing… cooking, motorcycling, mountain sports, etc. But I can’t imagine turning that into a profession. Eg touring on a motorcycle is really nice but after a month it also turns into a rut. I enjoy cooking but can’t imagine having to cook 10 or 20 or 30 meals every single day, over and over again.

I guess I don’t have a passion.

My passion? Cartooning! Don’t get to do as much of it as I’d like, but, whenever I do…!!

My passion is for animation and storytelling. Since that animation thing isn’t going anywhere, I’ve decided to write my own illustrated novel.

I always hated working. Never found my passion. If I could have found a job that paid me to stay home reading and watching TV I’d have been happy.

VWs, beer and cheese.

Not everyone has a comfortable “niche” to settle with.

He waits 12 hours before going back to bed? I need a nap after breakfast!

Would point out that passion is a pretty strong word. But I enjoyed my engineering work; someone else can say whether that was passion or not. My work took me into most of the production areas of our plants. Was able to make a few pretty novel process changes, which over the years I can say I was proud of.

I hear ya Pig. And I don’t always wait twelve hours.

What am I most excited about when I get up in the morning?? COFFEE!

I had areas of interest going into college, but always looked at what paid the best and weighed that with “My passions”. Especially when you pay your own way through school. And that was OK. Following “passions” are rarely suitable unless you don’t have any skin in the game. As far as other interests, I have a lot.

Remember Pig has recently had his heart broken so his passion level is at an all time low.

Naps help bridge the gap

The first 5 days after the weekend are the hardest.

No wonder he’s morbidly obese. The rule is 8 hours of sleep and 16 hours of awake each 24. Except when 80 with 9 bed hours and a couple hour afternoon easy chair nap.

I had many passions, but as a 75 year old prostate cancer survivor, the passions have shriveled up. . . .

Nice if it happens, but not necessary. It doesn’t have to be a ‘passion’, which more often than not is transitory, but it does help a great deal if it si something you enjoy doing and maybe would even if you weren’t getting paid for it.

I have many hobbies; I am passionate about them and my kids!

12 hours? I schedule my days around my naps.

Pig, you are too practical for this world! It doesn’t like those who cut so close to the bone….

Hey, Pig and I have the same passion! It is kinda pathetic when you wake up in the morning and get ready for work, and the thing you’re most looking forward to is coming home later and taking a NAP!
