Wow, soooo. . .it’s cool to make fun of families having fun (and without electronic devices, gasp!) . . .plus it’s cool to belittle those who encourage learning, language and reading. It just means the kids would rather be in school than playing Zaggle. I hated school but I would still rather have been there, if the alternate was a forced game of family Monopoly. It’s all perspective.
@CoffeeMom If someone has to be forced to “have fun,” it’s not fun. Nothing is being encouraged except a strong desire to forget that the whole ordeal ever happened. That’s the fact that this strip is pointing out.
