Phoebe and Her Unicorn by Dana Simpson for January 16, 2017
Transcript:
Marigold: We have to do a diorama in class this week. It's a group project. Marigold: You do not sound pleased. Phoebe: I hate group projects. I always end up doing all the work, because I'm the only one who cares what grade we get. Then everybody gets my "A". Marigold: Like how other creatures seem more attractive by virtue of standing near me? Phoebe: ..Not particularly, no.

I really hope in 2022, Dana makes a tenth anniversary book with commentary like Gary Larson and Bill Watterson did.

Could be worse, kid. Imagine millions of people doing the right thing but still having to suffer the consequences of everyone else’s negligence or foolishness.

There are two kinds of people in this world; those who do things and those who take the credit and the trick is to be in the first group there’s a lot less competition!

I would think other creatures would look more UNATTACTIVE, by standing next to her.

One of my final courses in undergrad had a team project that wasn’t individually graded. Me and one other person out of 4 of us were the only ones who did any real work. Made me so angry that our “A” was shared with the other two who didn’t contribute a thing.
