My dad always said there’s a little guy named “Yehudi” who lives in the fridge and turns on the light when you open the door. I always thought it was the switch.
Earl, take everything out of the fridge, including the shelves. Have Opal get inside the fridge. Close door. Then have Opal tell you if light is on or off. Once door is closed, go read newspaper or take Roscoe for a walk.
those lights get hot! My dad likes to sit with the door open and stare before trying to shove more stuff in, and sit and stare when trying to find what he shoved in a few days ago…. And one time after they came for a visit, I realized that the bread (which had been shoved on the top shelf to make way for more of his soda…) had actually had a hole burned in the bag!!! .The light bulb had plastic stuck to it and we have STILL not been able to get all of it off.

I personally would think the cottage cheese is just going bad on its own time.

I think Opal’s brain may be a little sunburned too.

I like Opal. I think she’s cute. She’s a good backdropfor Earl.

Yehudi also accounts for food missing; even a little guy needs to eat.

My Mom lived back when ice was still delivered, so I never heard of Yehudi. But she used to think a little man lived inside their radio!
