In the 1960’s the phone system had “Party” lines which then went private. Fast forward now we have FaceBook just like the old “Party” line! Just like the old party line you must watch what you say because you don’t know who will be listening ;-)

Start unfriending people, see how many will notice. You need to be proactive about this kind of thing.

If I don’t go on Facebook for four or five days, I get lots of emails from Facebook telling me what I’m missing. I need to change my email address with them to one of my junk emails.

Don’t cut yourself off from social media for too long, Opal. At your age, if people don’t hear from you for a while, they’ll think you’re either in the hospital or dead !

Some take longer to be missed than others.

I still don’t know how long it will take for folks to miss me. Hard to tell over the loud partying.

I was on that network and left around 5-6 years ago. Are there times I miss interacting with friends? Yes. The issue I had then, and would still have now, is privacy. Too many fake accounts. Not enough policing from he who shall not be mentioned, as well as the rest of management. Suffice it to say I have less than a flattering opinion of that person.

I am on T and even that’s a cesspool now. Too many ID10t’s on both sides of the political fence and that ruins the many good interactions one can engage in. It would are great if T split and had one T for normal conversations, and one strictly limited to politics. One can only dream.
