I hired my neighbors nephew and his friend last week to mow because my regular guy has been sick a couple of weeks. Last time I EVER do that! They mowed down a young rose bush and all of my blueberries . . . after his partner in crime was shown specifically what NOT to mow and he never relayed the message! And they still wanted paid!?!
have kids mow with a old fashioned mower. one that does not use gas. and then have them rake up the yard. they will NOT complain about mowing again with a mower that uses gas. and has a grass catcher on the side.also, have them trim the yard with grass clippers. not a weedwacker.

City kids… let them go off to the farm and harvest the crops. After that, mowing the lawn is a breeze
