One of the “oddities” of medicine. EMTs, nerses aides, first responders, ets., all have to be periodically re-certified. Although a few states have changed, in most states once you are a doctor, you are a doctor for life — no recertification necessary.
I told my new MD I knew that I’d be a-dyin’ at 81..He wanted to know how I was so sure of that.. “That’s what the speedometer will be stuck at when I hit the bridge on Sugarman road!”

I’ve been living in my new town for a year. So I already got a new doctor, barber and preacher/bishop. As for the new dentist, haven’t found one yet.

I miss our old vet the most. Poor guy had a heart attack and died on the job, never got to retire. Now we have whippersnappers for everything.
