Once many years ago, my college-age son was digging through his change in front of a soda vending machine while dropping all of his pennies on the ground. What are you doing? I asked. His answer, “pennies are useless, they are only good for people who believe in luck!” I disagree with my son on this topic, one should never waste, you never know when you will need pennies.
Gweedo – Your ad here – Murray: I have always had a stiff back and since my sixties effective tremor has reduced my manual dexterity, but I will pick up any penny I see with no obvious owner.
I pick up all coins (and bills) that I find. A dime is my baby brother saying hi from heaven and a dime is my stepfather. I hear from them quite often.
I have been known to drop a quarter here and there, especially around a school or playground. I remember how special I felt many years ago when I would find a coin.Trying to spread the love…

Picking up a penny a second is like getting paid $36.00 an hour.

Yup! I found a nice shiny quarter on the way to work one time. I lived in Las Vegas where I also found lots of $20.00 bills
