I’ll take a meteorologist over a politician any day of the week.

Sometimes it is a good thing that weather forecasters cannot be sued for malpractice.

At a local radio station where I worked, the weather forecast for Saturday was partly cloudy; this was given all Friday afternoon…Saturday morning, I had to apologize…but blamed “big government” who provided the forecast…told the listeners when I woke up, there was half an inch of “partly cloudy” (snow) in the driveway…

I have worked too long in Manufacturing to be a Weatherman – I can’t accept anything under 95% right. Under 50% would kill me.

Wouldn’t surprise me if who ever sends our local weather people the reports has a garage & snow blower or lives someplace where it rarely snow so they don’t care one way or other if the report is wrong.

There was a study recently on how accurate weather forecasting has been in the past and guess what? It’s all smoke & mirrors, just like we thought! Those guys and the ladies in the tight sweaters know nada about what the weather will be like day after tomorrow. Ha! Your grandma’s rheumatism was no doubt a better predictor.

It was those flurries that used to scare the h*** out of me. The weather people would forecast “light flurries” and then we would get 24 inches of light flurries.

This last one was only to be between 4 – 6 inches in my area. Got closer to ten inches.Took the lawn care guys nearly 14 hours after the storm to clear the roads and sidewalks.
