hippogriff, (from yesterday) yes, we visited that club frequently and knew a few people there. At that time, we were sort of cliquish with our club, and mostly danced just with them. We were afraid we wouldn’t be able to keep up with other dancers and would mess them up!Small world!
Oh, hippogriff, we danced with the Swingin’ Eights of Garland, which folded sometime in the 80s or 90s. Then with the Royal Plus and Heritage Dancers exhibition group. Great memories!
The only pie I want baked in a “deep dish” is peach, cherry, or blueberry!.Although I hate ‘shrooms (I don’t trust things that grow in the dark), this sounds like the ultimate DIY pizza…
bfrg1513: In the l960s, I was Recreation Director for Mesquite and knew those clubs well. However, by then, I was giving up calling, as the calls had changed from the chanted patter to more of a filk on C&W songs which no one wanted to hear me sing. Betty wasn’t at church today (a rare absence), but I will tell her next Sunday. She gave up dancing when her husband could no longer take the exertion, but at 90, she still could today if she wanted to. Incredibly small world.
I do this with frozen pizza all of the time, except my favorites are goat cheese, pineapple, banana peppers, bell peppers, onions, garlic and tomato with fresh basil for good measure.

You’re a Plugger if you go to way too much trouble to make a pizza like this, because you’d be too embarrassed to order it over the phone.
