Today a lamplighter is an extremely rare job. In Brest as a tourist attraction a lamplighter has been employed since 2009 to light up the kerosene lamps in the shopping street every day.
How many Irish pluggers does it take to change a light bulb ?(PS I’m Irish) 20 -One to stand on the ladder and hold the bulb while the other 19 drink until the room starts to spin !
