The 100% is the heart rate at rest. The percentage above that is the person at maximum effort. So the poor guy can only do a little bit without maxing out.
Just getting thru the ridiculous traffic in one piece trying to get to the Hospital 20 miles away in downtown Jacksonville,Fl. is enough of a Stress Test for me,and they always wonder why my blood pressure is high when I get there.( And here’s your sign ! )
