I have a friend who will hit his drive, then walk up through the woods or rough on wither side looking for balls. He did this when we played in Myrtle Beach. I was on the fair way and called to him “Hey! Did you read this sign?” “What’s it say?” “Why don’t you come look?”It read: Beware of Snakes and Alligators. DO NOT go into the Rough After a Lost Ball!

I score my rounds based on how many balls I find in the woods versus how many I lose.

Any day on the golf course where I find more balls than I lose is a good one.

Either that or it’s because he found the ball he lost last week.

Even better when it’s the one he lost last year.
