My husband introduced me to the concept of drunk cows. His grandfather’s farm was across from an orchard which in turn bordered another farm. When the apples fell and were let sit for a while the cows would come along and eat those apples that were on their way to becoming hard cider and you’d find a field full of cows that couldn’t walk a straight line back to the barn, even if they could find it.
