I will admit that Walmart has some very nice, polite people working there. My Daughter is a manager at one of the stores. My point is that Walmart doesn’t treat their employees as well as they want their employees to treat their customers.
A lot of stores are the same way. Jo-Ann Fabrics expects their people to really be polite and give fast service, but employee loyalty means nothing to them and they discriminate a lot. I was required to use chemicals that were hazardous, and when I had a seizure and hit my head on a safe a few weeks later, the manager coldly waited for me to regain consciousness and pretended for months that nothing had happened while castigating me for mistakes. She finally fired me for offenses that had nothing to do with me. I later learned from others that this is about par for the course.

Did you also see the part of the application that says they will only let you work less than 40 hours so you don’t qualify for any benefits?

I’m surprised to see Teena so cynical. I try to always be courteous, and find that usually – not always – it is returned.
