   I was pinning this for the husky part — I don’t think they were looking for an answer, but now that I see the reply "the metric I remember was 1 inch = 10 … I have to add It actually varies by the type of snow. In the mountains of NM they counted 12 inches as 1-inch because the humidity was 10% and the snow was like confectioners sugar. Really wet snow could be 4-5 inches snow would = 1 inch
