The media argument is funny to me. Media is a reflection of society. It has to be, otherwise it fails and media companies go out of business. Especially news media; they are nothing more than entertainers. If they don’t cover what has the public’s attention, the public won’t watch. Therefore, McCain and his supporter, should blame the rest of us, not the media.
In keeping with the analogy, I’d rather see a president try to dunk and bounce it off the rim fair and square, rather than cheat to win because he’s to small to even get on the court.
@ReFlex-76, I had never thought of it in terms of investing in the past. I think that’s a good point. It is a bit of doublespeak, isn’t it, “Drill, but go green as well!”
@StewieZ, maybe you could expand on your vague comments. What do tin foil hats have to do with the subject of the comic? Are you suggesting aliens are causing gas prices to go up? Are you suggesting anyone who doesn’t agree with you (libtards, I believe you call them) wear tin foil hats to guard against high gas prices? Please contribute something of substance to further the conversation.
I actually know that Che Guevara was Argentinian, and Marxist but painted as a Communist for propaganda’s sake, as Communism was an easy tag given it’s bastardization of true Marxism. A book would do some people good.
But that’s not the point. I still have yet to see why the surge actually worked. Can Iraq stand on it’s own now? Have the three factions finally put aside their differences? Or did the surge work just in time for McCain to say he was for it all along?
