Mr. Gilchrist, love the changes you’ve added to Nancy, e.g., moving Fritzi and Phil to co-starring status, almost an ensemble cast or family now. “Nancy” still has great charm, and surreal beauty. Thanks so much!
Gotta love that bat shadow! Maybe someday the Tribune and Warners will agree to have a team-up. Hey, Superman met Tarzan, and Spider-Man. You never know……
Hmm….could Haf and Haf be far behind, doppelganger for Two Face ? I love how Dick Tracy and Batman universes are becoming mirror images of the other…..!
Speaking of cross-pollenation, the look of Batman, from Golden Age thru the late 50’s owes homage of sorts to the Tracy look, thanks to Robinson and Sprang.
Agree with Otto’s comment. Also, Gould’s style was more 2D, while Staton’s modern style, comic book influenced, naturally 3D. I don’t remember Measles from classic Tracy, have to look up. In the meantime, where is Moon Maid already?
…..and Superman and Nancy both go back to the Thirties….at least as far as the original “Fritzi Ritz” comic strip, right?? Time flies….
