Better was the US military blasting Guns ‘N Roses’ “Welcome to the Jungle” at ear-splitting volume at the Papal Nunzio in Panama City for days to break the will of Manuel Noriega (who had fled to the Vatican’s facility to escape US troops). It worked.
+1. I live west of Austin, Tx, near a very scenic 4-lane highway (speed limit: 65) that has constant bike traffic. If they stay on the very wide and paved shoulders, no problem. But when the weather is nice you get groups full of Jef-types who think they’re in the Tour de France and form peletons of 10-15 bikes, usually 3 abreast. Huge traffic and safety hazard.
Jester was the gigantic dorm at UT at the time the strip ran. (I lived there at that time.).The food was notoriously bad, and Breathed ran several strips that tapped into the running joke at UT about it.
BTW, Jester is still a huge dorm at UT, but they privatized the food service several years ago and it’s now considered pretty good.
