    To those who don’t understand:

This is poking fun at the Twilight book series; there are four books in the series. It is about a mortal girl (Bella) falling in love with a vampire boy (Edward). This mortal also becomes best friends with a werewolf (Jacob), who doesn’t know he is a werewolf until book two. And it just so happens that the werewolf and vampire are mortal enemies. Most people find the series hard to swallow, except for the “Twi-hards,” they are a group of fans who worship the series. There is also two movies out based on the first two books, there should be two more movies coming out. Sorry about the length of this post, but it should answer any questions.

Priced aluminum foil lately? Enough to cover a kid and a board makes it anything but a “recession budget!”

Go to the dollar store, rolls for a dollar! I am sure that would be considered a budget friendly costume!

My then 3 yr. old daughter watched me take the clippers to my brother’s hair. The next morning, she woke up before anyone else, found the scissors, and gave herself a reverse Mohawk. I don’t know how she got such a close cut with scissors. We had to shave her bald. It took about a year for her hair to grow back in so she could get a decent haircut!

Think about all of the graffiti you have seen. I am sure there were curse words. In comics, curse words are represented by “* @ # &.” To all others Please be nice, I was only explaining, not cursing!

I think it depends on the maturity level of the individual child (and the reluctance of the parent, lol) to have the talk. I wouldn’t go into great detail, I just gave him the basics. My oldest went to visit his grandma (out of state) for the summer. One of his parting comments to his dad was “Tell me about the birds and the bees when I get back.” Which come to think about it, is Wednesday!!!

I started dropping things related to “the talk” two years ago, when my oldest was 10 (he’s 12 now, but I have to include the 10 and 9 y.o. siblings!) starting with “When you get older and are married…” and usually ending with “in short, sex makes babies.”

    To Shadowwriter and Summerdog:

There was a single man in Pittsburgh who hadn’t had a date since 1984. He opened fire on an aerobics class filled with women, in Pittsburgh. I forget how many women were injured and killed. Whats even worse, he was blogging about doing it for around a year before he actually did it.
