Funny story: I was working on a CMYK image and made a back up RGB version for preview. I then mistakenly emailed the CMYK version which, when previewed via web browser, looked horrible.
Long story short, I now know why Rubes and other comics have “horrible” colors. GoComics has been using CMYK versions and publishing them on the site without proper RGB conversion.
If you have a photoshop-esque image editor, copy the comics image file and convert from RGB to CMYK. It will look much closer to the newspaper print.
Now, if we can only convince GoComics into properly converting their colored comics, think of how many eyes we can save! ^_^
Well, there was the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit personas, so I wouldn’t put it past the Almighty to make a Mrs. Almighty. Better to complete the omniscience, methinks.

Huh, all this just because of the word “back-up”…
