I remember I had a fellow classmate in university – I think he skipped most of the lectures and borrowed my notes before the exams. And usually got better grades, which is amazing. My penmanship was atrocious and I occasionally flatlined during lectures. Literally. I’d doze and my pen would move left to right in straight line.
I saw that one time in a Renfest and really thought something had gone horribly wrong. All was well and the knight turned out to be a lady.
Now zebrastripes, don’t think I’m dissing you by saying this. Jousting at Medieval Times – well, the one time I saw it, wasn’t all that authentic looking, shall we say. Mind you, the knights were some serious eye candy!
reminds me of one summer day at work – my hair tends to get frizzy in humidity, but that day I was thinking it didn’t look too bad. Until my boss’s wife says to me, “oh, your hair is frizzy too.” I’m sure she meant to be commiserating, but…
Watching a bunch of untrained thespians attempt to portray real life (marketed as reality TV) is something I refuse to waste time on. Looking at a comic strip that casts a funny angle on things many of us can relate to (in some degree – I am not a musician or an artist) is far more entertaining.
I really love her Nana. Do we ever get to meet her?
