I had a difficult time deciding which Republican Presidents I wanted to use. In this case, the storyline worked better, in my judgement, using 20th century chief executives. One I went back and forth over was including Calvin Coolidge. A greatly underestimated president. But I went with Ike as another wholly under appreciated president. One has to respect Ronald Reagan for no other reason than his title of the Great Communicator. And Teddy Roosevelt, well, he’s just frigging awesome.

I gotta admit, i have no team I am even remotely interested in playing in the big game this year. (Grew up a Chargers fan in San Diego and grew into a Bears fan during my years in Chicago.) On the plus side, pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training in a few weeks!!!! And, of course, hockey season continues, (Go ’Hawks!)

I find it fascinating when a supposed political superstar stumbles and falls so dramatically. There are numerous other examples. (I am reminded of Texas Governor John Connely back in 1980. He came into the race as a heavy favorite, had raised an astronomical, ((at the time)), amount of money and then proceeded to win zero delegates as Ronald Reagan swept to the nomination, brushing aside the upstart George H.W. Bush before adding him to the ticket.)

Like you, The dude from FL, I fear that we will see a repeat of January 6, (only more so), should President Trump lose again.

The point I am trying to make in today’s Prickly City is that power is the ultimate goal of all sides. If the common good can be affected, well, that’s more like dumb luck then actual intent of policy.

Actually, I’m terrified that the whole comic strip business will be disappeared.
