When I was little it seemed like the kids always got sick first and then just when we were feeling better, our parents got sick. haha So poor mom was on her death bed while the three of us were still sick enough to be home from school but well enough to be running around driving her nuts.

Hahaha! Legaleagle48, johnparadox hit the nail on the head! lol

My mom says that when the three of us kids were little, I was like 4, my brother was 9, he complained, “Mooooom! Kay’s buggin meeee!!” And apparently my 4 year old self leaned over and went, “Buggy, buggy, buggy!” To this day, whenever mom tells that story, it still annoys the living daylights out of him and makes our parents laugh till they have tears in their eyes and I have no memory of this!! lol But it annoys him 20 some years later so, as a little sister, I believe I have done my duty. ;)

My brother lost his wife several years ago and was raising his daughter alone. He remarried just a couple of weeks ago and they made sure to include her in the ceremony. My new sister-in-law gave her a promise ring and said special vows to let her know that she promised to love her and care for her as if she was her own daughter, and that the ring was a reminder of that promise. She’s only 6 now and she was very young when her mom died, so I’m not sure how much she understands of what was going on (she’s very smart though) but it will be important to her as she grows up and can look back at that memory. I thought it was wonderful.

I just got around to reading the last strip! Happy but sad! I’m glad they’re running the classics. Thank you Ms. Guisewite!

After you all said it was ending I looked it up and found this article:

I’m so sad now!! But she has certainly earned her retirement for all the laughs she’s given us. Thank you!

A flannel trench coat? That genuinely made me giggle Wiley. :D But wouldn’t that be a little more Seattle-ish? I’ve never been to Maine, maybe we Seattle-ites would fit in well there. hehe.

rofl Webspider! But can you imagine the judge’s reaction to the divorce papers? I guess it depends on if he’s a geek or not. hehe

Elly covering her mouth reminded me of a story my aunt told last time the family was together, about when I was Micheal’s age. I said something twerpy and she was trying sooooo hard not to laugh and I looked up and her and said, “I saw you smile Aunt Chris!” Then she couldn’t help laughing. I totally don’t remember that but it sounds like something I’d do. LOL

This happened to a friend of mine with a car once. Same make and model and the key went in but wouldn’t turn and as she’s messing with the lock, trying to figure out what’s going on with her door, someone demanded to know why she was messing with their car. lol Her car was a couple of cars over and the keys were very close so the key would go in but wouldn’t turn. She was so red in the face. She’d had such a long day and didn’t notice it wasn’t her car. lol This is the reason for distinctive antenna balls and mail boxes. Then people KNOW they’re at the right place!!
