Cricket (of Earth) and Brockian Ultra-Cricket of some of the higher dimensions – tastelessly commemorating the Krikkit Wars of Life, the Universe, and Everything.
I found a white leather trench coat at a charity thrift shop! Had one small cigarette burn mark, that was covered up when it was buttoned – and I repaired that with a bit of white nail polish. I loved that thing (wouldn’t fit these days, though.)
“Esso” – the phonetic pronunciation of “S O,” Standard Oil.
I remember there was a beehive behind our local Esso station when I was growing up. And the bees from that hive would go and invade other local beehives and cause trouble. Just goes to show, there’s an Esso Bee in every crowd!
But those bees could be helpful when they wanted to. One day I ran out of gas, and one of the bees flew up and offered to help. I opened the gas cap and the bee flew into the gas tank and back out, and then told me to just wait a few minutes. The bee flew off and returned with a whole swarm of bees – and each one flew into and out of the gas tank. The bee then told me to try the car now – and it started right up! I thanked the bees and said “That’s great! What did you put in my gas tank?”
Thank you! I got the beginning but couldn’t read the final word!
