I had a chemistry teacher in high school who would have us raise our right hand if we knew the answer, and our left if we didn’t. that way, when the principal was observing his class, what he saw was 100% participation.
-14/0 is not infinity. it’s an error message because you can’t divide zero. When you divide by zero the universe turns inside out and you can prove that 1=2 or that 1= (anything else you jolly well please), basically, all of mathematics breaks down. My math teacher in high school used to tell us that if you divide by zero, the math cops will come out and string you up by your toes from the flag pole and play tether-person with baseball bats.
I like how the lines in the pattern on Dad’s shirt always stay vertical regardless of what position he’s in. Hobbes looks kinda dissapointed with the situation too.
Ldywldkat: wow, that flowers are red song is almost depressing, but it’s so true. Thinking outside the box should be encouraged, but is so frequently squashed. it is a sad thing indeed.
madampresiden12 says: Susie should have known better. She pressured him to go to the library. She should have known he wouldn’t come up with the standard answer.
Seriously! how many years have they been in the first grade together? Decades!
Puddleglum2: Susie, get help! Calvin really needs it this time. That’s what Calvin gets for “crying wolf” in the sandbox.
I’m sure susie would love to help calvin get down. she’d probably use a pelet gun.
