I can’t remember when, but there was once some indication that Piro was supporting some children. It was definitely presented in a mysterious way, with a clear implication that some revelations would arrive, sooner or later.

“Propaganda” is what one’s enemies say, just as “terrorism” is what one’s enemies do.

The real reason is that reality shows are cheap to make. And as H.L.Mencken wrote, nobody went broke by underestimating the taste of the American public.

The joke about Sally, aside, I doubt there actually were any log cabins. The whole concept of a log cabin involves a situation in which trees are plentiful and skilled woodworking skills are scarce. In 1800 Kentucky, Lincoln’s father could chop down whatever trees he wanted, and it didn’t require great carpenter’s skills to make walls of the logs. But in a long worked, arid area like Palestine, trees were scarce. And in the wealthier regions of the Roman Empire in the reign of Augustus, carpenters were available. Jesus’s father was one.

Some, like Fox News, do make some of their stuff up. Most have a slant, which influences their language, and especially their CHOICE in what to report, but still remain more or less factual.

@Ivlax: not necessary “doesn’t love”, but he has every right to be angry. The sexes are reversed, but Stef should listen to Leslie Gore’s “You Don’t Own Me.”
