Does Locher just write down every card game pun he knows and then build the entire plot line around them? I have a feeling he does this for every storyline. “This one will be about a bear. Ok, how many bear jokes are there. 15? Ok, this storyline will be 20 comics long, since I can recycle them a few times and repeat things.” And then he collects his paycheck. Blegh.

I agree with you RedSteph. I give 1/10th of my income to charity, and I love to do so, but that is my choice. People should have the option to do with their money what they want, and if that means spending it on themselves, fine. We definitely need kind people who are willing to give up a little of what they have so that others can have to, but forcing them to does nothing but breed ill will.
I predict comments over the next few weeks such as, “If Joey were here…” “Joey wouldn’t have…” followed by quiet sobbing as everyone realizes he’s gone, and they no longer have a character to hate on.
