C’mon, Lio; Dad’s gotta get back on the horse at some point. Who knows, you may take a shining to her. Also, it could just be Dad getting ready for a job interview.
I have to agree that a relationship has to be real with real consequences before it’s taken seriously. That, and if both parties are truly gunning for marriage in the end, rather than just making excuses to co-habitate, they won’t reveal all their cards in order to convince one another that they’re a smart match. As to the divorce rate, abusive relationship should end, but many divorces are due to both parties being selfish and unwilling to compromise.
Course, I’ve never married, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
You only charged a nickel? Either this was when you were both too young for it to have been much of a show, or you really thought your sister qualified as a cheap entertainment. Yes, I realize this was originally back in the early 80’s, but still. Sorry, just had devil’s advocate.
To chime in on the sibling double standard, I was the 2nd of 4 and only son. I am certain I got my behind paddled with much greater frequency than my sisters. Let’s leave out the fact that my sisters we’re generally well-behaved and that I mostly likely deserved the corporal punishment.
Ladies, dress however you feel comfortable, but bear in mind the more you show off, the harder it is for us to act like gentlemen.
