In case anyone’s interested: the boys are out awfully early in the morning! The crescent Moon’s horns point up and to the right in pre-dawn hours. They point up and to the left in the hours after sunset. That’s assuming they live in the Northern Hemisphere, which I think is a safe assumption.

AFAICT, there are more cashews in today’s mixed nuts than there were 30 years ago. I luv ‘em, so I’m not complaining.

Good one! I used to give problems like this to my physics class. Of course, this was many years ago. For example: “Lois Lane falls off the top of the Daily Planet building, which is 186 meters tall. She falls for 1.2 seconds. g = 9.8 m/sec/sec. Clark Kent arrives on the roof, and takes 0.3 seconds to change from his civilian identity (SPOILER ALERT!!!) to Superman. He has a flying acceleration of 26.3 m/sec/sec. Can he catch her in time? Extra credit for providing a reasonable method for him to attain extra acceleration on the way down!”
