Calvin will grow up to become a scientist. Though it is pretty interesting to read the arguments (most of which are with no grounds), I would like to point out that may be up to 80-90% of Scientists doubt the existence of god/whatever superpower (well I don’t know why the rest are still believers). The National Academy of Sciences (US) is made up of 94% atheists. Maybe there is link between reading and understanding scientific literature, designing machines, curing diseases, determining your calories intake, weather forecasting … and loss of Faith in God. Interestingly most of them were brought up in families of faith.
I am wondering how people estimate “Global” warming by looking at local snow, or temperature in a particular year. Though climate of a region is affected by local parameters, it is governed by many different factors which occur worldwide. And may be we should start looking at events happening in far off places, and not just here in US.
