My husband I both make messes (different ones) and we both clean the house. I occaisionally make requests like taking the laundry downstairs so I can do the wash and his request is that the dishes are done every night. It’s a give and take. Oh, and by the way, he does cook some nights and shares raising our kids. Lucky me! :o)
I love when school is out! We don’t have to get up so early/go to bed so early. We can learn lessons in the yard and garden, go on walks, color, paint, watch movies in our pj’s, go to the library - all during the day and not scrunched into a hour at night! Yay!
When it was just my step-son, I told him I need 20 mins in my room when I get home from work. Then I can be with him and listen and talk and do whatever it is that he wants to do. Just need the 20 mins first. Worked like a charm.
