   The cheap electronic speedometer on the shelf at K-Mart didn’t even have an adjustment for the size of the tire. It’s just a wheel attached to the outside of the tire, that spins at the same outer speed as the tire.

   Some classical music albums have you start the needle in the center and it plays out. This is for pieces that have a big flourish at the end where the fidelity is better.

   That’s presumably why 78 rpm records are so fast. The only way they could get acceptable fidelity at the end of a song was to spin the record fast the whole time.

   Why not? One of the Family Circus kids substituted for Bil Kane when he was on vacation. Real-life offspring Glen Kane became a Disney animator when he grew up.

    I happened to see the ranger right when I noticed the restrooms were locked. The challenge was slinking off without making it look like I was totally going to pee in the woods.
