Back on May 10th, Mitch McConnell told reporters “No, I don’t support putting a hold on military nominations,” in response to a question about Tuberville’s blockade. “I don’t support that. But as to why, you’ll have to ask Sen. Tuberville.” ~ Yup, another Profile in Courage there… One of his Senators is blockading the US Military and Mitch’s plan of action is to let the reporters work it out with that idiot masquerading as a Senator. ~ Nice.
He may not be powerful, but he is valuable…. to Speaker McCarthy. The true question is where did all the money come from (and where did it go) associated with his campaign? Somebody “owns” this guy and it will be very interesting to see if the Federal Election Commission is, in fact, an independent regulatory agency and can figure it out.
His imaginary life-story is weird enough to vary between horrifying and amusing. But the real question is where did all of the money come from (and then go to) associated with his campaign. Simply put: who owns this guy? None of his associates seem sharp enough to pull this off… the truth of Georgie’s “origin story” will come out.

Christine joined the band during what was also another tumultuous period when Danny Kirwan, guitarist Bob Weston and vocalist Dave Walker and then Bob Welch were fronting the band. (Give a listen to Bare Trees / Penguin / Mystery to Me, where she wrote and performed some of her classic songs and competed favorably for space on the albums with those personalities.) ~ What woman… what a voice.
I’m not afraid: just cautious and willing to take precautions in order to protect my family, friends and colleagues that I interact with. ~ Sooo… to play out your analogy: if you are on the top floor of your apartment building and it is on fire – we should have the Fire Department wait to get involved until one of your neighbors jumps out of the building to their death, because then it presents a “real” danger to you. ~ Yeah, that makes sense. Or, more accurately, how about when the economy craters due to the shutdown of businesses, entertainment venues and overwhelmed medical centers due to a wide ranging pandemic? Will that be the time when getting a vaccination to protect both you and your community will make sense?
