In real life, when dealing with senior citizens, that is to say, older people, sometimes memory deteriation gets in the way of civil actions. I know, I am a senior citizen and often I forget to do something my spouse asks me to do. I believe the character Earl has a deminishing abiltity to remember things that the rest of his fellow human beings have no trouble remembering.
By golly, Earl sounds just like me. What ever he has must be catchy and I guess I caught it! Sometimes it’s fun for me, but for years my wife would get a little angry. Ah, but time ultimately brings two people together. Now, we both have caught the bug and, well the fun has really begun!
I think Canderville is one of the most interesting comics. As a metro-Detroiter, I try to read it as often as I get the Detroit Free Press, where it appears daily. The subjects the cartoons author picks to comment on are always current events.
